December Madison Newsletter

Principal's Message

Dear Madison Tiger Families,

As we head into December, I want to extend my gratitude for your continued partnership in supporting our students. This time of year is full of excitement, learning, and celebration—and it’s also an important time to maintain strong school attendance.

At Madison, we are working hard toward our attendance goal of 90% regular attenders. We know that regular attendance has a powerful impact on a child’s academic success. When students are in class consistently, they build essential skills, stay connected to their classmates, and develop positive learning habits that last a lifetime. Thank you for helping your child arrive on time each day, ready to learn and grow.

Below are our current Regular Attender percentages for each grade level:

Kindergarten: 70%
1st Grade: 68%
2nd Grade: 73%

We are also working toward a major academic goal this year: 70% of students at or above grade level in reading on our end-of-year DIBELS assessment. Currently, 34% of students are at or above grade level. Our staff is working hard to provide strong, research-based reading instruction every day, and your support at home—reading together, practicing phonics skills, and encouraging great attendance—makes a big difference.

We appreciate your continued commitment to helping every student thrive. Together, we can ensure that our Tigers finish 2025 strong!

Sincerely,
Carli Ainsworth
Principal
Food Drive Box

Food Drive Thank You

Thank you, Madison Tiger families, for your incredible generosity during our annual Food Drive! Together, we collected over 700 pounds of food to support local families in our community. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

A special congratulations goes to Ms. Henderson’s class, who brought in more than 200 pounds of food and earned a well-deserved pizza party for their outstanding effort!

We are so grateful for the way our Madison community comes together to help others.
