Dear Madison Families,
Happy November! We are so excited for the learning and growth happening across our school. This month brings one of our favorite opportunities to partner with you, Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 12th and 13th. Please remember that both days will be early release days. Your child’s teacher is eager to meet with you to celebrate your student’s strengths and identify meaningful goals for continued growth throughout the 2025-26 school year. If you have not yet scheduled a conference, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible. We value these conversations and the strong family-school partnership that supports student success.
I would also like to share a reminder about our school-wide attendance goal. This year, Madison’s goal is for 90% of our students to be regular attenders. A “regular attender” is a student who is in school 90% or more of the time—about two absences per month.
Currently, our regular attendance rates are:
-
Kindergarten: 74%
-
1st Grade: 74%
-
2nd Grade: 78%
Students who attend school regularly are more likely to stay on track academically, build strong relationships, feel connected to school, and develop positive habits that support long-term success. Even missing just a few days each month can add up, making it harder for students to keep pace with learning.
We appreciate your partnership in helping your child build routine, confidence, and a love of school. Please reach out if your family needs support with attendance—we are here to help.
We are grateful for our Madison community and look forward to a great month of learning, connection, and celebration.
