Principal's Message

Happy November, Madison Tiger Families!

It was wonderful to see so many families in our building for fall conferences. We truly value the opportunity to connect with you, celebrate student growth, and work together to support each child's success.

Our students are settling into the school year, building friendships, developing new skills, and working hard each day. Our staff is committed to meeting the needs of every student, both academically and socially/emotionally. We have established our school goals for the year, and we are excited about the progress our Tigers are already making!

One of our big goals this year is for 70% of our students to reach benchmark or above in both reading and math by the end of the school year. We are working hard in classrooms every day to provide engaging instruction, targeted support, and opportunities for all students to grow. We are proud of the hard work our students and staff are putting in!

Another important goal is one where we need our families' help: We want 90% of our students to be regular attenders, meaning they attend school at least 90% of the time. Currently, 64% of our students meet this goal. Every day at school matters! Being here consistently helps students build strong relationships, stay connected to classroom learning, and make steady academic progress.

We also recognize that getting to school every day isn't always easy. If your family is experiencing challenges with attendance, please reach out. We are here to partner with you and help problem-solve. You can call our school office or connect with your child's teacher. We want to work together to remove barriers and help every Tiger be successful!

Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and trust. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community. Let's make November another great month of learning, growing, and showing our Tiger pride!

Madison Attendance Challenge
Surprise Attendance Day

Surprise Attendance Day

October also brought our very first Surprise Attendance Day, and what a fun day it was! Teachers were outside cheering students on as they arrived at school, and we celebrated throughout the day with dance parties and lots of excitement. It was such a great way to recognize the importance of being at school and celebrate our Tigers for showing up! We will be surprising students with more Surprise Attendance Days throughout the year, so keep coming to school and you never know when the next celebration might happen!

Reminder About Toys at School

We want to send a friendly reminder that toys from home are not allowed at school. While we know many items are special to students, toys can become distracting to the learning environment and may take away from valuable instructional time.

Please help us by ensuring your student leaves toys at home. This helps us maintain a focused and positive classroom environment for all learners.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your partnership and support!
