Principal's Message

Dear Tiger Families,

What an amazing start to the school year! I want to take a moment to thank all of our Madison families for helping make the first weeks of school so positive. Our students are learning, growing, building friendships, and showing us every day what it means to be a Madison Tiger. We are so grateful for your partnership and support!

🛝 Something BIG Is Happening at Madison!

We are thrilled to share that our brand-new playground is being installed this week! Our students have been watching the progress with lots of excitement, and we cannot wait for the big day!  Our new playground is scheduled to open on October 12th! We are so excited to get our Tigers out on the playground to run, climb, play, and have fun together. We know this will be a wonderful addition to our Madison School community!

📚 Every Day at School Matters!

As we move into October, we also want to remind families about the importance of regular school attendance. One of the best ways families can support their child’s learning is by helping them get to school every day and on time.

At Madison, we talk with students about being a Regular Attender. This means attending school at least 90% of the time. Missing just a few days here and there can add up quickly and can make it harder for students to keep up with classroom learning, routines, and friendships.

Every day matters. Every minute matters. Every Tiger matters!

When students are at school consistently, they have more opportunities to:
  • Learn important reading, writing, and math skills
  • Participate in classroom activities and discussions
  • Practice social and emotional skills
  • Build strong relationships with teachers and classmates
  • Experience success and feel connected to their school community
We know that sometimes absences are unavoidable, and we understand that children get sick or families experience circumstances that make attendance difficult. Our goal is not perfection—it is helping every student attend as regularly as possible.

🍦 Our First Attendance Challenge!
We have also kicked off our first Madison Attendance Challenge! Our classrooms are competing to see who can reach 10 days of perfect attendance!  The first classroom to reach 10 days wins an ICE CREAM PARTY!

Thank you for helping our Tigers show up, be ready to learn, and grow every day!
We are looking forward to a fantastic October!

Go Tigers! 🐯💙💛

Reminder About Toys at School

We want to send a friendly reminder that toys from home are not allowed at school. While we know many items are special to students, toys can become distracting to the learning environment and may take away from valuable instructional time.

Please help us by ensuring your student leaves toys at home. This helps us maintain a focused and positive classroom environment for all learners.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your partnership and support!
